Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is seeking candidates for the positions of part-time clinical nursing faculty in the School of Health Sciences. Faculty report to the Dean of Health Sciences and will be responsible for working closely with the program Director and program faculty  in the clinical instruction of nursing students. Clinical faculty will be responsible for instruction in the clinical setting, simulation laboratory and/or clinical skills practice laboratory.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Clinical instruction 12 hours per week each semester
  • Evaluate students in clinical settings and all clinical activities
  • Evaluate clinical sites for program evaluation
  • Complete all orientation requirements of clinical sites
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum
  • Master's degree in Nursing required
  • Excellent clinical skills across the life span
  • Recent clinical experience
  • Current Georgia nursing license in good standing with Georgia Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required
  • A strong commitment to diversity, student engagement and shared governance 
 
Preferred
  • Minimum 2 year experience in clinical teaching in higher education

Physical Requirements
Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends).
